The following blog entry is an entry which I wrote a while back. It was first written on my chinese blog. It was an entry which I wrote after, once again, I watched the movie "Hachi" .. This time the American version .. I remember the first time I watched the Japanese version I was in high school. The love and devotion which Hachi had for his owner made me tear endlessly through out the movie .. I ended up going to school with my eyes no bigger than a fine line ~ lol ... This time, though a little better, I did end up whaling like a baby by the last hr of the movie ..
Hachi left us in 1935. But his story lives on & inspires even till today. & for the 6 months I lived in Japan. Every time I passed by his statue at the Shibuya station, though bitter sweet, I can't help but smile at him. He was not only a dog, but a loyal friend to his master. His devotion never ended till the last breath he took. & this is something, many of us humans can't even do. & it's stories like this, which make my living worthwhile, because even with all the bitterness around the world, such stories give us hope. This Pure Love, though rare, does exist. & It is only the matter if you're willing to give and believe in it first for it to find you ...
Other than CNY celebrations/traditions, it was also my friend Coco's birthday. So on her birthday we went out to the Bund and ate at Mr. & Mrs Bund. The food was definitely delish. Esp their Foie gras yyyuuummmzzzz ~~~ & then of course there was Valentine's .. Though this year Mr. Rowe and I celebrated with my family (since it was also CNY eve that day ..) but Mr. Rowe did give me a lovely gift hehe ... I guess every day is Valentine's if you have a healthy relationship right? :P
Right now, fireworks are going off all over town .. if you haven't been to China during CNY. Other than shops being closed and all. It is definitely a sight to see. Fireworks pretty much is going off EVERY WHERE! To the point, when Mr. Rowe first got here last year, and witnessed it for the first time, he thought he was witnessing a war movie haha ...
I know my beauty blog posts have been long overdue. & I feel utterly bad about it. But the past few weeks I've been busy with work .. esp with CNY around the corner ~ & now that it is CNY, I'm packed with family stuff to do .. So please bear with me! and thank you for the support you lovely ladies have been showing me ;)
Since CNY is one of the biggest holiday seasons here, most of my friends are off traveling or went back home to visit families. But just the past Thursday, we did come out and had a little fun ~
Photo Memoirs:
Other than some regular craziness with friends, since it was CNY of course there was loads of family time :)
My mom decorated the house with lots of lucky stickers and flowers ~ & even our little munchkins joined in on the CNY spirit!
Bright colors to bring good luck to the household :D
常满 = always full .. My mom stuck this on my walk in closet door lol ..
um ok .. Thank u ? haha
Nugget got into the CNY spirit and wore her new outfit :)
Mao Mao didn't have a new outfit but we compensated with a cute red bow to give him some good luck for the New Year hehe ..
& Of course the little ones got their red pocket money as well ~ lol ...
Hope everyone is having a great CNY! & For those who are not accustomed to the CNY culture, I also wish you all the best luck for the coming days of this year! ;)
So a while back, I did an entry on ambigram tattoos and how I wanted one. & this is an update :P
Just yesterday, both Mr. Rowe and I, finally got the ambigram tattoos we wanted! lol .. Well Mr. Rowe got another few more addition ..I just got one tho ~
Right now it's healing pretty nicely. Just aches a little. Since I did it on the inner wrist where the skin is rather thin ~ But overall it was alright. The process wasn't that painful and he did it pretty fast :D

Me being prepped
Ready to go ...
All done!! hehehe ...My Leah/Kitty Ambigram
Now it was Mr. Rowe's turn .. and yes. He has a lot of tattoos ...lol
It's my dad's birthday this week. So other than a family dinner, we got together with some of his friends and celebrated the special week with him ~
Photo Memoirs:
My little outfit for the night ~
It was extremely cold. so back to wearing lots of layers .. sigh
At the restaurant:
Most people at the dinner are friends and family I've known since I was a baby. My girlfriend Christine (Picture above), I've known her since we were both little rugrats running around while our mothers played mahjong lol ... Her birthday is actually just 1 day difference to mine lol .. So you can imagine how excited I am for her when she got married just 2 months ago ~ I haven't really sat down and hung out with her in a very long time so it was definitely nice to catch up with her :)
It's always nice to be surrounded by people you love, and in this case people I've loved forever ... :D
Yesterday, Mr. Rowe and I took a tour around the city and had our "day of fun"~ .. or so he likes to call it lol ..
Did find some cute accessories and clothing :)
Mr. Rowe on the other hand didn't buy as much as he intended .. he was complaining quite a bit lol ...
Photo Memoirs:
few accessories that I bought :)
Lately I've been obsessing over silver again .. I had a phase of gold for a while but somehow it's shifting back haha
found these ultra cute headphones! Pink with skulls on them. Heartz it!
They weren't expensive or anything but just absolutely adorable!
Best for traveling and just to accessorize my computer with :P
and below are 2 goodies I came across lately. Currently I have a humble little online store and the following 2 are part of my online inventory .. of course I saved aside 2 pieces for myself to wear as well hehe ... I guess that's the benefit of owning your own store :P
I mainly sell Japan and US brands to customers within China. I guess I'm doing this for fun and to gain some experience in the field. So far, it's been a good journey :) & I'm definitely enjoying what I do ~
